Erin Maye Quade was elected in 2016 and is currently serving her first term in the Minnesota House of Representatives. A native and lifelong resident of Apple Valley, Erin is honored to represent the community that raised her.
Erin believes Minnesotans should be able to work with dignity, provide for their families, and get ahead — all at the same time. Because Erin believes Minnesotans are served best when policies are driven by people, not partisanship, she works with legislators across Minnesota to create productive policy change to strengthen safe and healthy communities, support students from cradle to college, protect women's health and choice, build an economy that works for working families, and promote accountability and accessibility in democracy.
Representative Maye Quade sits on the Veterans Committee, the Job Growth and Energy Policy and Finance Committee, and the Education Policy Committee.
Prior to being elected to the Minnesota House, Erin worked in both the public and private sector to connect Americans to their democracy and help families get ahead. She currently lives in Apple Valley with her wife, Alyse, and their rescue dog Sota. Erin and Alyse are members of Grace Lutheran Church in Apple Valley.
