Nights with Neighbors
While our community is excited to have an active, engaged, and responsive representative, I know not everyone is ready to have a conversation with me at the exact moment I knock on their door. Additionally, I understand the desire many in our community have to connect with their neighbors. In this era of renewed civic engagement, I know so many feel an urgency to do something, but aren’t sure what to do.
That’s why we’re organizing Nights with Neighbors.
Block by block, a few neighbors at a time, we will meet in livings rooms, at kitchen tables, or in community rooms to talk about the things that get us up in the morning and the things that keep us up at night. We will have conversations about our shared values, the issues that matter most, and work on solutions together. Nights with Neighbors recognizes the shared power that constituents and elected officials have--and empowers constituents to organize their own neighborhoods.
It's really simple:
Find a few dates and times that work for your schedule
Sign up at erinforhouse.com to host a Night with Neighbors
Invite a few of your neighbors into your home for a discussion with their state representative.
Once we have set a date, our team will help you out with all the details! We will send along a host guide so you know what to expect, helpful organizing tips I’ve learned, and a list of what I’ll bring with me.
*Note: Nights with Neighbors won’t be open to the public, only those you invite to your home.
It’s an honor to represent our community in the Legislature. I’m looking forward to spending time with you, listening to you and working together to create policy that’s driven by people, not partisanship.
